Hi Mr. Korycinski, do we really get free greatest hits CDs this year for Christmas, or is this just a joke? Kristen  10/9/05

Hey Kristen. I gave out 150 Sun Jungle I CDs in 2000, 150 Sun Jungle II CDs in 2002, and 150 Sun Jungle III CD in 2004 to students.  This year is no different.  The Greatest Hits CD we be handed out within next month!  Merry Christmas!

Mr. Korycinski

Hey Mr. K, its Parker.  Just wanted to say hi and that I'm joining the navy very soon to put my computer skills to work.  How's the band?  8/30/04

Parker whats up?  I'm glad to finally see you put those skills to use.  There is no doubt that you were the best when it came to computers and the best website club student I ever had.  The band just released its Greatest Hits CD this year and we took the year off from touring for a well deserved break.  We have been focusing on a lot of new recordings this past summer.  Good luck in the Navy!

Mr. K

Mr. K, when do we get our CDs???? John L.  11/25/03

Hey John, have no fear.  I gave out 150 Sun Jungle I CDs in 1999, and 150 Sun Jungle II CDs in 2001 to students.  This year is no different.  The Sun Jungle III CD will be handed out within the next two weeks!  Merry Christmas!

Mr. K

Congratulations on being the featured artist for September on greatmusicsites.com!  Your hard work is going to pay off!  9/3/03

Cool site and thank you so much!   Jim Korycinski

Hey Mr. K, remember me? Its Larry Pennington.  I really wish you could have given the free demos to our class a few years ago.  Your music rocks!  Off to the high school, Larry.  7/11/03

Hey Larry!  I could never forget you.  By the way the high school just hired me, so see you there! hahaha!

Mr. K

Hello again Jim.  I pm’d you to see if I could get a CD, but then I saw on your website where I could order one, so I retracted the pm’s. I did put an order in for one, and hopefully will hear back from someone in your sales dept. soon. If it’s anything like the sample, I’m sure it will be great. Do you want me to cut/paste the link for your sales so that the Zbudders who don’t know you have a CD out will have an opportunity to purchase one? Also, I just wanted to say that it is very easy to see, from your website, that you and your band members have very good hearts, especially where children are concerned, and I think that rocks. Your posts regarding the little girl who passed away a couple of years ago were very touching, and you guys handing out 150 CDs to the kids in the school, was very, very cool. You guys rock, and I think you’re a cool guy, (despite your football affiliation ;) ). I hope that ya’ll had an awesome time at the Zbash today and that you didn’t get rained out. And I hope a lot of people showed.   Biker Babe  6/28/03

Hey Biker Babe!
Thanks for the great feedback. Tell all the zbudders! We currently have a 5 song demo for sale but I'll send you one for free since you are so kind and since you are the hottest zbudder! Just give me an address. This band does have a heart, you're right. Aaron cares alot about others, including me, which is hard to believe sometimes. Check out our new blog link for whats currently going on.  I've been busting my butt in the studio lately and we haven't been playing as much as I thought this summer.

Dude how's your summer going?  We need to get together again and brainstorm on some of our new songs!  Shifted Fate 6/3/03

Hey dudes!  No problem, you're always welcome around here!  I love the look of your new site.  Have you heard about Neverhood playing at the Kelsey Klub?  They're moving up in the world! I told you so!  Keep up the hard work and I'm going to try and set up some charity concerts this fall at the high school possibly.  Mr. K

Dude, thanks for the demo.  That new song "Twistin' in the Wind" is unreal.  I also heard that Sun Jungle is an official sponsor of the Howard Dean campaign?  Bruce Reid 5/21/03

Hey its Bruce our number one fan!  I love Twistin' too.  Man Aaron really rocked out on the drums on that one!  The changes are really cool.  I don't know if I should mention politics on this site because of the potential to lose fans, but oh well here is, our new blog:  http://www.historyblogs.com  dedicated to a kickass former doctor and governor! Jim Korycinski

Hi Mr. Korycinski! I was at Sarah Stone's memorial and I heard the song that you wrote for her.  I thought that it was a great song.  I was also wondering if you could maybe put it in the LYRIC section of your web page.  Thanks!PS- your band is pretty good!
Amanda Rohan
8/27/02

Hi Amanda!

Thanks for the input.  I am currently recording  "Sarah's Song" which I sang at her memorial and will put it in the downloads section as soon as it is done for all students to listen to.  She was an incredible person and she was much too young to leave us.  She was always helping me in class  and was just an awesome student.  Sun Jungle is also playing at the Martin County Fairgrounds on September 21st and all proceeds will benefit underpriviledged children.  If there are any requests, I will also play "Sarah's Song" at the Fairgrounds.  I always deal with tough times through writing and her loss really affected me.  I love my students and now realize even more just how important my job is as a teacher.  I will put up the lyrics under the LYRICS section tonight,

Jim Korycinski

Whats up Sun Jungle? Your music is really awesome! I like that sinners and dreamers song.  I’m planning on going to your concert on 9/21.  Where do you play at and when?   Mr. K.'s student, Brandon Prickett , Rock on!     8/27/02

Hey Brandon,

I hope to see you there!  We were playing at Bubba's and getting set up there but they just closed last week.  We are currently working on a new gig, so stay tuned,

Sun Jungle

Hey Sun Jungle,

Woah Sun Jungle,

I heard about your current experimentations with a brand new studio!  We are very interested and heard you were going to record Neverhood and Shifted Fate under your new Sun Jungle Records label.  I hope you can get back to us!

John Ridder     5/20/01

Hey John,

I'm emailing you all the info and what the studio is going to have.  Remember that we know Neverhood and Shifted Fate and are therefore only taking co-producing credits while we experiment with our new fantasyland of recording!

Dear James,

Congratulations! As a result of some very enthusiastic reviews from garageband.com members, in seven days Lady Sunshine will be Track of the Day at garageband.com. For 24 hours on 3/27/01 (PST) Lady Sunshine will be featured on garageband.com's Alternative front page. The address for this page will be: http://www.garageband.com/genre/alternative So make sure you've got a current photo of Sun Jungle uploaded, and then enjoy your time in the spotlight. It would be cool if you could post a link to garageband.com on your website, but no sweat if you don't fancy it.

Best wishes from all at garageband.com and keep up the great work!

Sun Jungle,

I was checking out tunes on soundclick, and happened upon your site.  Must be great living in Florida.  It's well below zero, and snowing here today.  Can't wait for spring to get here.  I listened to both songs on your soundclick site, and enjoyed them both.  "Amy Marie"-heartfelt vocal delivery-great minor chording.  I hope things eventually worked out and they were able to live closer.  "Haven't Seen Her'.  This tune reminded me of one of my favourite bands, the Moody Blues.  Great tune.  I love how you ended it with the minor chord and just let it ring out-great effect!  Do you guys play live much?  There must be a lot of places to play in Miami as it is such a large city.  I'm a singer/songwriter too, from near Chatham, Ontario, Canada.  My wife and I have a 9 month old daughter who keeps me pretty busy.  Music is just a part time thing these days, but I'm still writing and recording.

E mail me back if you get a chance-I'm on the web too at
www.soundclick.com/bands/brettservice.htm

Take care eh,

Thanks for the critique Brett, you are too kind.  We are so used to being nit picked to death by websites like garageband.com that it is very refreshing to know that there are people out there who just let the music flow and feel the vision.  We have about 7 songs uploaded to garageband.  It is basically a clan of bands who evaluate your music (they have to if they want to upload their own songs).  You have to listen to 10 pairs of songs and critique them for every song you want to upload to the site.  Anyway, these band members can make you feel like you are worst thing on earth, but we know better because we have been writing and recording for 12 years now.  Unfotunately the Amy Marie relationship did not work out.  I am originally from Detroit (very close to where you are now) and I moved to Hawaii and then Florida When I met Amy I was in Michigan for the summer.  After the summer I came back down to Florida and she didn't make it out of Detroit, sad ending I know.  Miami is an incredible scene that you would not believe!  By the way, I know what you mean by eh?  A Canada thing that I am very familiar with being from Detroit.  Spread the word dude,

Jim Korycinski

Hello Sun Jungle,

I found your site through farmclub.com and read your fans speak page and was wondering how the full sail recordings went and when they will be available    9/30/00

John

Hi John, thanks for stopping in.  The recordings are now up and running.  Check out "Circus" and "Haven't Seen Her" on our mp3 page.  It is all live.  We did some experimentation at Full Sail.  Matt let Tommy do leads on this demo and I experimented with a jazz bass.  We are still planning on mastering and remixing the tape and putting some other additions to it.  Full Sail was awesome.  The only bad thing is that we got into a car wreck going to the video shoot which was a total bummer, but the recordings came out real nice.  Full Sail was great with great people.

Jim Korycinski

Jim,

Congratulations! Your band has been chosen to be a feature band on parrotkey.com.  A subsidiary of Jimmy Buffett's Web ring, happy trails!     9/17/00

Hey Sun Jungle!

I heard that you guys were accepted into Full Sail Studios in Orlando.  Woah! cooooooool!  So how did it go?  Was it as awesome as what you read about?  I heard that dozens of the top engineers and producers in the music world have gone to that school.  Steve from Orlando    8/22/00

Hey Steve,

Yeah, that was one unreal experience!  We had a real tough producer, but he was incredible (he did Kansas).  We still have some finishing up to do in September, 2000.  We will have four new tracks and they will be uploaded to all our link pages as soon as we get them done.  So far the main guitar and drum tracks are done, along with the solos.  I am going to finish the bass and vocal tracks in an overdub session.  The students were great, and Studio A was incredible!  We will also be uploading  pictures from the sessions very soon!  Check out the site for Full Sail Studios at http://www.fullsail.com.

Jim Korycinski

Jim,

I am real interested in playing on some of your upcoming tracks in Full Sail Studios,  especially after the success of some of the cubase recordings we worked on together.  Give me a call sometime!   Tom Kaminsky   8/15/00

Hey Tommy!  Of course you are invited.  I'll call you with all the studio details.  Get ready to jam!  By the way, those cubase recordings were kickin'.  If you come close to that at Full Sail it will definitely be a success.  I look forward to working with you some more,

Jim Korycinski

 Dear Sun Jungle,

I heard that Joel Armstrong, VP of CBS records, was impressed with your CD at a quince celebration in Miami around the fourth of July.  What is going on??    Robert   7/8/00

Hey Robert,

Yes it's true.  He wanted to take the CD, so Alejandro gave him one.  He liked many of the songs and the overall Sun Jungle image.  Alejandro gave him our number and we are hoping to get a call back (this would of course be a great thing).  This business is tough, especially when it comes to getting record deals.  We will continue to be hopeful about CBS, but in the meantime we have two independent labels asking questions.  One is from England (25 records).  We will also continue doing small gigs and submitting music.  We just submitted Janie and Bobby to Dreamworks (Stephen Spielberg's film company), and we always have submissions in the works.   Oh, by the way, you can vote for us on our Garageband.com link created by Talking Head guitarist Jerry Harrison.  Monthly winners receive $250,000 record contracts! You can also vote for us on our Farmclub.com link.  Farmclub is run by Dr. Dre and his record label.  Nobody gets a free ride!  Thanks Robert!

Sun Jungle

Jim,

We saw you guys last week downtown and you had the whole place up and dancing! We bought your cd and love it!  and we will be at your next gig for sure!  Please look for us,  Shannon and her crew    6/30/00

Hey Shannon,

Thanks!  We are in the process of trying out new lineups live.  Alejandro (our DJ and side project) is really helping us out when it comes to playing live.  The percussion and rhythm that he has added to our writing has totally changed the sound of the band.  We are finally starting to click and have some real fun on stage!  Thanks Shannon!  See you there,

Jim Korycinski

Hey Sun Jungle! the new song sounds great!!!!!! check out our music at mp3.com/frank45.  Lets help each other get to the top of our genres. Thanks   Kev     6/24/00

 Kev,

Good idea!  We have already created a small network over mp3 with other bands.  Check out Fat Amy, Distance Zero, and Elements of Soul.  They are all very close friends and have worked their tails off in the music business.  We know Bob Guiney, the lead singer of Fat Amy, from high school (Riverview, Michigan).  Bob has recently moved his band to New York.  We are also good friends with the drummer of Distance Zero.  Distance Zero is a band based in Ft. Lauderdale and their hard work is paying off down here.  They are currently getting air play on the main radio station in south Florida (ZETA) and are landing some cool gigs.  We also just started hooking up with the Elements of Soul crew in Miami and are in awe of what they are creating.   All of the above bands have cool mp3 sites so check them out.  Sun Jungle, Fat Amy, and Distance Zero have been in the top 100 within their genres before and  we would love to remain there.  I'll send you some mail, so lets get the network going!

Boys,  I checked out your website last night and was very impressed.  You have done a super job getting the word out and your site is very informative.  I liked the bio's.  I want to hear from you when the CD is released so I can pick up a copy.  Your sound is getting better each time I hear you play, so keep 'em coming.........Don't forget your roots!

Mickey     6/8/00

Mick! Thanks for visiting our new realm in the internet world. Your input will always be greatly respected, after all you, Senio, and Matt Morin took over the underground music world in the early 80s and showed us all the way.  Anyway, I just put up a 24 hour radio station on our site under our links button.  It plays all 16 songs on the first major cd over and over.  Of course the tracks aren't completely done- but will be this summer- I'll update the radio with the most current recordings as we go.  Dude get down here for a vacation!!!!!  Don't forget to vote on farmclub!!  Stay cool Mick.

Gabba  (Jim Korycinski)

Jim, I was just checking out your website and noticed that Sun Jungle plays in Ft. Lauderdale. I am gonna be down there the weekend of June 16-18 hanging out with a friend of mine. Are you gonna be playing in Lauderdale that weekend? Let me know and I'll come check you guys out. See ya.  Scott     6/2/00

Hey Scott (Scott is my cousin).  Haven't heard from you in a while!  Hope engineering is treating you well!  Unfortunately we have to touch up our cubase recordings during the month of June and into the beginning of July.  Sometimes I will be sitting at the computer in 17 hour, non-stop stints because I have the summer off, so I cannot gaurantee any gigs at that time.  I'll email you if the Culture Room needs to fill some space or something else comes up.  We have a crew in Lauderdale (Ted's army buddies and his clan).  Maybe we can at least get together with them or even gig with them for a night because some of them are musicians.  We will definitely have solid gigs going on in the month of July!   Jim Korycinski

Jim, Wow!  I finally heard your stuff and I really like Sea Dreams.  Do you guys have a CD made yet?  Where can I get it? Beth     5/31/00

Hi Beth!  We just finished mastering most of the CD and you can buy it from our mp3 site (demo version) or email me at wantcd@sunjungle.com and I'll get you a good deal on one. We are going to start selling a 16 song CD for $9.99 this summer               Jim Korycinski

Sun Jungle, Man we just heard your cubase tracks and I am freaking out up here.  How long did those tracks take?  Who was playing on them?  You have really improved since the last demo.  I'm impressed with the writing and the vocals and guitars are kickin'!  I'd like to learn about cubase so if there is any chance that I could work with you guys just let me know.  Keep it goin'!     Tony Yacuone of Scoot McGoo     5/30/00

Hey Tony,  We recorded a total of 15 new tracks using cubase in February and March.  On about half of the songs Jim is playing rhythm guitar and on the other half Matt is playing rhythm guitar.  Matt does all the leads.  Matt also did a few bass tracks, but Jim does most of the bass.  It gets very involved.  Sometimes we sit at the computer for days.

Sun Jungle

Hello Sun Jungle!  I just visited your website and it looks totally professional.  Who came up with the structure and format?  Was it a lot of money?  Oh, by the way I ordered a t-shirt.  Vito Donafrio of Big Finger     5/29/00

Hello Vito, well you have a very good question.  Jim designed it with Parker Swift- one of his 14 year-old gifted students and Tanner Barfield.  Tanner helped out on the flash movie and Parker helped design the overall format.  The kids deserve a lot of credit.  They have been working hard in Jim's website club all year and have actually created a total of 25 teacher web sites this year with animation and sound.  Sun Jungle

Sun Jungle,  I went to farmclub.com and downloaded your tracks, they rock.  A couple of my friends are having trouble getting through the site, what's up with farmclub?     Steve     4/28/00

Hey Steve,  Yeah, I have heard this more than once.  Our link to farmclub only goes to the jukebox.  Once you hit our farmclub.com link under our links icon, just type in Sun Jungle for the artist name in the jukebox.  You have to scroll down to see our songs.  Once you see them you just click on them and they should automatically download.  You can also vote for the songs by clicking on the "put them on t.v." button that shows up when you are downloading the songs.  Since farmclub is a very professional site and has a lot of information, a faster connection definitely helps.  If you are on a t1 or dsl line you should have instant download capability.  If you have a 28.8 or 56k modem it might be very slow and you may run into trouble.  Another point I would like to make is that you can vote for each of our songs once a day.  The contest to get on t.v. is run by the month and therefore at the end of each month there is a winning band and each winner gets to perform on the USA network show farmclub.com.  These winning bands perform on the same stage as Creed, Stone Temple Pilots, N.W.A. and many, many more killer groups!   Please keep voting Steve!!!       Jim Korycinski
